The Hawk Circle Leadership Program

Coed for ages 15-18

Some teens want to learn how to become a wilderness skills instructor.

Others want to stay longer at Hawk Circle and help out any way that they can.

Some are ready to step into a role of service and leadership.

Part CIT Program, Part Community Service Work, and Part Youth Development and Leadership, this experience is a step into a larger world for teens who are ready to grow!    We learn through doing community service projects like tree planting, trail maintenance, light carpentry or building work, stacking firewood, or even filling potholes in our gravel driveway.  (Actually, it's a camp favorite!)

We also get time learning wilderness skills with our summer camps, making great food by the campfire, relaxing in the mountains at the height of summer and connecting with great people in a nurturing environment.

CIT Activities:   Participation in Staff Meetings, Wilderness Skills Training, Camper Supervision, Community Game Night, Storytelling Skills, Nature Crafts Support, Materials Preparation, Campfire Management and more....

Community Service Activities:    Kitchen Prep, Meal Service, Kitchen Clean-up, Trail Maintenance, Camp Water and Supplies, Tool Safety and Repairs, Campfire Wood Stacking, Tree Planting/Gardening, Movie Night and more...

Activities may vary depending on weather, materials, group dynamics and other variables, but we will always learn great things and have fun.
