Willow Bark Baskets

Join Sandra Kehoe for a day learning how to make a willow bark basket.

This is a super fun project and Sandra is an excellent basket maker and teacher.  Last year our students remarked on how relaxing and meditative the day was as they worked together, making their own individual baskets while enjoying the beauty of Hawk Circle.

FEE:  $75 + Material fee $30

Join Sandra Kehoe for a 2-day rib basket making class during one of the more beautiful times here at Hawk Circle. The rib style basket makes for a perfect gathering basket - just in time to gather apples or your final garden harvest.

FEE:  $325 day only, includes materials, lunch, tea & snack for both days. (no refunds)

FEE:  $495 over night, includes lodging and all meals.

About Sandra Kehoe

Sandra studies traditional willow basket making from teachers around the US, Denmark and the UK. She has a strong focus in rib style willow basketry and weaving with bark.  She teaches basketry classes and workshops in multiple mediums, at craft and art schools around the Northeast. Sandra grows and harvests willow on her farm in the Mohawk Valley of NY and is a member of the national Basketry Organization.
