Teen Caretaking Program
June 27-July 3, 2021. (for teens ages 15 and up)
This program is a week long immersion for teens who want to spend some time at Hawk Circle helping with projects like clearing trails, landscaping, light construction, firewood and more. Trista, Grant, Emma, Javier and Ricardo are at the tail end of many projects and could use some help!
The program is only open to 6 students, ages 15 and up, and we will be working on caretaking in the mornings and early afternoons. We will also have time for some cookouts, some afternoon swims and hikes, as well as various crafts and general fun around our campus. We will have a Game Night, a Movie Night, a Carving Night and it will also be fairly flexible in terms of specific guided activities, to allow for spontaneous ideas and creative expression.
Work clothes, sneakers, gloves, general camp gear is required, along with personal toiletries, sleeping bag/pillows and towels/bathing suits.
Participants should apply if they ready to get their hands dirty, and understand that we will be 'Taking Care of Business' as we work together in the hot sun, rain, or whatever mother nature has in store for us! There will be lots of practical skill building throughout the week.
The cost for food and training and supervision/housing is $500.
