The Hawk Circle Adventure Program
Our Afterschool Program
Hawk Circle is currently part of a youth development program partnership that serves our local schools.   The Creating Rural Opportunities Partnership (CROP) has recieved a grant to deliver afterschool programs for schools in Otsego and Delaware Counties, and put together an impressive partnership with area Arts Organizations, Alcohol and Drug Prevention Councils as well as the Oneonta area Americorps.    Hawk Circle, in partnership with the Leatherstocking Education and Alcoholism and Addictions Foundation (LEAF), has created a mini-intensive program aimed at providing powerful life skills of leadership, safety awareness, decision-making, commuication, self-esteem, confidence and stress relief.   This is done through our dynamic wilderness survival based curriculm, native arts & crafts as well as intensive mentoring and storytelling from our instructors and staff.

The programs involve learning about shelters, native hunting skills, beaded necklaces, leather pouches, movement and awareness, campfire skills, cooking and safety, and many other tools and skills.

        Best of all, this

program is free to every student in the program!
