Red Deer is a week of hunting lore, skills and philosophy, and involves tracking, awareness skills, arrows and bows, spears, sticks, cooking, clothing, stalking, blinds, trailing and scouting. Our focus is on the skills of the Hunter, whose relationship with the deer (or other prey) was deeply personal and one of profound inner connection. The observation part of this program alone will blow you away. "The most important things I learned in the camp was patience and that a hunter's skill was being able to be still and wait. My greatest challenge was making a good bow and finding a good, straight shaft for a good arrow....."
