The Caretaker Program provides students with the chance to work and learn with the Hawk Circle community during the summer camp season. Students learn about the importance of service in a community through time in the garden, kitchen, clean-up and overall environment. The importance of each role is taught, as well as methods for attaining skills of positive work ethics, responsibility, safety, efficient use of time management and the joy of doing a good job. Caretakers work several blocks each day, with time spent with a staff person to learn new skills of survival and awareness as well. Time to be involved in some camp activities, when appropriate, are also part of the experience.
If you are looking to learn what goes on behind the scenes to create the kind of powerful programs at Hawk Circle Camp, and start your journey towards becoming an instructor, consider this opportunity to take part and join our community this summer.
